1. Prepare Your Space: Find a well-ventilated area, protect the surface you’ll be working on, and wear gloves to keep your hands clean.

2. Dust Off Dirt: Use a soft brush to gently remove dirt from your shoes. After cleaning, wipe them down with a polishing cloth for a smooth finish.

3. Condition Leather: Conditioning is crucial for leather shoes. Remove the shoelaces and apply a small amount of wax evenly across the shoe’s surface. Allow the leather a few minutes to absorb the wax, then wipe off any excess.

4. Polish Your Shoes: Using a polishing agent and a brush or cloth, polish your shoes in circular motions, paying special attention to the corners near the toe and heel. Remember to wear gloves during this process!

5. Buffing: Finish by buffing your shoes with grease and a horsehair brush. Brush back and forth in a sawing motion, then follow up with a cloth. For best results, condition and buff your shoes at least once a month.
